Autumn visit and spring visit: why exactly those two moments?
The cleaning year has two logical markers. Take them both and you enter the best months clean, and come through winter clean too.
A solar panel's cleaning year has two logical moments, each with its own reason. Spring is the big clean before high season: between March and May the deposits of a complete pollen season sit on the glass, regularly topped up with Sahara dust after a southerly airflow. Having the panels cleaned then means entering the months in which the system earns the lion's share of its yearly yield with clean glass.
The autumn visit, at the end of summer or the start of autumn, follows a different logic. Summer leaves its own layer behind: dust from dry weeks, and bird droppings from the breeding season that has just ended. Leave that layer in place and it becomes relatively more expensive in autumn: the sun sits lower, every stain casts longer shadows across the cells, and whatever is still on the glass in October usually stays there all winter.
